Handwritten Bob Marley lyrics to soul legend Curtis Mayfield song emerge for sale for �10,000

Handwritten lyrics that reggae legend Bob Marley penned while recording a track off his hit album Soul Revolution have emerged for sale for £10,000.

Marley scribbled his version of the words to Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions' track I Gotta Keep On Moving during a recording session at London's Island Records in 1977.

The Wailers' cover of the song was the opening track on the 1971 album, which boasted the singles Don't Rock My Boat and Sun is Shining.

Marley put his own twist on the Mayfield's original 1964 lyrics, changing the lines to: "I've been accuse on a ma mission, Jah knows they shodent do it.   More on The Mirror
